Digging

Magnus project was chosen - a design team was established, and they started adjusting the project to fit the wishes of the Major of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. They worked really hard at the hostel - trying to push the project as far as possible before tomorrow, and taking design elements from our un-built project on further. Meanwhile a big group of workers were sent to the site starting to dig holes for the foundations that had to be approximately 80x80x100cm. Everyone was tiredly happy - after a long-wished for working day. The motivation for the project and the moral of the team is climbing.

A group of four people Torgeir - our super-duper happy economist from school, Cecilia, Jørgen and Jan started filling out the possible terraces within the rock formation with stones. Then stones of smaller dimensions and gravel was "borrowed" from the construction site of the municipality. These guys are also so nice to us that they borrow us all their equipment that we ask for. a Win-win situation for the development of Galapagos. On top of the gravel we put some more beachy sand - so that it becomes more pleasant to walk on when bare-feet. These spaces within the rocks are now starting to become how we imagined it.

Now a good-nights sleep before more digging of foundations and making beaches tomorrow.
