The Mechanics

Today we started putting in the nuts and bolts, to keep the construction together. The day went rather smoothly and we used a 40 cm long spade-bit for drilling a continuous hole through the layers of bamboo columns. But around lunchtime the drill which we borrowed from the municipality started malfunctioning. So Christian and Jan went to visit the local repair shop.

This shop is located in a parking lot, and ran by two guys - a father and son. The interaction between themselves and the people that visited the shop was like watching an opera. After everything Miguel (the younger of the two, brought out his own produce which was Galapagos coffee, and like every salesman this is the best coffee in the world according to him - smelled nice though.
