More digging
After digging foundations for two days straight we got a new message from the architect and mayor. Before we arrived today the architect had come by the site and concluded that we were building in the wrong place, and that our project would destroy their ongoing one - a plateu in the shape of a hammer-head shark, and some shops with changing rooms.
We by now have spent 5 days designing a building which was not in the correct site, and two of those 5 days almost all of us spent on digging foundations and making the two rocky beaches. By now Christian and eveyone became quite fed up with working for the municipality. Everything has been a struggle since our arrival. We decided on an ultimatum - either we stop building at all, or we would take our design and adjust it to the site imagined by the architect.
After this uphill start of the day and all the uncertaintese. We got the day off, some waited patiently for Christian and his verdict, while others went to the beach.
Later in the day - the verdict was that our site was moved about 40 meters from where we had dug the foundations. A group of frustrated students stayed the day and started digging foundations to get their anger out on the beach of Playa Mann - by now our confirmed site.
